I joined mydeco in 2008 and after a long break whilst I completed my course, I have finally found my way back.
My style remains eclectic with balance and symmetry very important to me and also a keen fan of Feng Shui.
I am mad passionate about colour and pattern and find it hard to remain content for too long but I'm reigned in by my husband who stops me from changing the wallpaper every week. What a blessing My Deco is!!

Hello
Just thought I'd say hello to those of you who may remember me. Unfortunately mydeco is taking a back seat at the moment. I busily trying to finish my projects for this module so I can take them to London soon so I'm surrounded by sample boards, fabrics and colouring pencils!!. Still they are looking good so I'm praying for good marks. I have also found another passion, tracing my family tree. It is fascinating, so far I have traced 3 sets of grandparents on my paternal grandfathers side back to 1801! Just think they were around during the Georgian period, quite amazing. But it is so time consuming, You log on thinking just 1/2 an hour and before you know it 3 hours have passed. Not good. Still found a a great aunt today which is progress. Mydeco is looking pretty swish nowadays, its the first time i have logged in ages so its the first time I have seen it.
bye for now

Family trees are fascinating. My grandma has looked up much of mine, it was so curious finding out that a distant relative somewhere in a mansion had an affair with the stable boy and got kicked out to eventually create my dad's family!
Good luck with your projects, and I hope we see you again soon.

I'm relatively new to Mydeco,& I'm sure, like everyone else,I have found it addictive, but at least it is productive & instant.
I too, started my family tree (about 3 years ago). All I can say is you have to be prepared for the highs & lows...the disappointment
of following a trail for several weeks (bought certificates, visited libraries,& the family history centre),to find I'm not related. But there's also the joy of a successful search.I decided it was time for a rest, after having traced back to 1500 & nearly 7000 relatives on my tree.At least with Mydeco,my success is relatively instant,& sometimes we need instant gratification.Good luck to you.Best wishes from Frankham.
